This model mimics a Beretta semi-auto pistol I have at the house for protection from the bad guys. It is in .40 cal S&W with a 10 round clip. The S&W .40 caliber cartridge is becoming more and more popular with law enforcement officers because it packs a significant amount of "knock down" power with a relatively mild amount of recoil. This allows several shots to be fired in rapid succession accurately.

This is one of the more difficult projects I have taken on due to the detailing needed to make it a believable model and the numerous compound curves the model exibits. When drawing this model, I used a caliper to exactly duplicate the exterior dimensions of the pistol.
